Bringing Breathlessness
into View

Millions of people around the world live with breathlessness due to underlying conditions. It’s a difficult symptom that’s rarely recognised or even discussed.

But there are lots of things that can help people live better lives.

Here at Hull York Medical School, we are Bringing Breathlessness into View. We made this exhibition to raise awareness of this difficult symptom – and share ways of managing, and living well, with breathlessness.

This website is a one-stop-shop of:

  • guidance and support available for people living with breathlessness
  • our latest research and activities in breathlessness in our blog
  • how we are raising awareness about breathlessness in our innovative mobile exhibition

We hope you find our website helpful.

How can we help you?

Here at the Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre, Hull York Medical School, University of Hull, we are carrying out research into breathlessness to positively impact the lives of those living with the symptoms. Find out more about our latest activity in our blog.

Breathlessness is not something to hide away; keeping active and involved with others will help life be as good as possible. Read our guide to living well with breathlessness.

In collaboration with local people living with breathlessness and artists, we have created a mobile exhibition to raise awareness of what it is like to live with breathlessness, and enable people to access support to manage breathlessness well.
